What is an eSIM?
An eSIM (embedded SIM) is a digital SIM that allows you to activate a data plan without a physical SIM card. It's built into most modern smartphones (iPhone XS and later, Google Pixel 3 and later, Samsung Galaxy S20 and later).
Is my phone compatible?
Most phones released after 2018 support eSIM. This includes: iPhone XS/XR and later, Google Pixel 3 and later, Samsung Galaxy S20 and later, Huawei P40 and later. Your phone must also be carrier-unlocked.
How do I install the eSIM?
After purchase, you'll receive a QR code. On iPhone: Settings → Cellular → Add eSIM → Use QR Code. On Android: Settings → Network → SIMs → Add eSIM → Scan QR Code. The whole process takes under 2 minutes.
When does my plan start?
Your data plan timer starts when you first connect to a network at your destination — not when you install the eSIM. You can install the eSIM before your trip and activate it when you land.
Can I use my eSIM for calls and texts?
Our eSIM plans are data-only. You can make calls and send messages using apps like WhatsApp, FaceTime, Telegram, or Skype over your data connection. Your original SIM card can still receive calls and texts.
What happens when I run out of data?
When your data allowance is used up, the connection stops. There are no surprise charges or overage fees. You can purchase a new plan if you need more data.
Can I get a refund?
We offer refunds for unused eSIMs (not yet installed). Once an eSIM has been installed on a device, it cannot be refunded. Contact us within 30 days of purchase for unused eSIM refunds.
Do I need to remove my regular SIM?
No. eSIM works alongside your physical SIM card (dual SIM). Keep your regular SIM for calls/texts and use the eSIM for data abroad. Your phone will use both simultaneously.
How fast is the data connection?
You'll get 4G/LTE speeds on all our plans. The actual speed depends on the local network coverage, but you can expect speeds suitable for browsing, social media, maps, video calls, and streaming.
Can I share my data (hotspot/tethering)?
Yes, most of our plans support hotspot/tethering. You can share your eSIM data connection with other devices like laptops or tablets.
